Knot after knot, index after index, this line grows out of a repetition. I started this sculpture in 2022 as an exploration of repetition as an act, and a soothing and protective practice. Interwoven in between the knots are thoughts inscribed on paper, held and forever tied in this moving sculpture. Line acts as an endurance piece, where the only end goal is to continue.
Over time I have installed this sculpture in ever growing rooms where this ever growing line fills up the space, influencing the movement of those who wonder through it.
